Wow. What a ride! I actually had the opportunity to experience an International Beauty Pageant. I know....can you believe it? Those of you who know me well are as shocked as I am. This journey isn't something I would have ever thought I would or could do. It just wasn't me. I have never been in a pageant of anykind....OK...I was a cheerleader in highschool but comon' that doesn't even come close to pageant world! Going into this process I wasn't sure exactly what I was getting myself into. I was shocked to have won the state pageant and was just happy to be able to be have all the great experiences you've seen in my past postings. My hat goes off to women who continue to follow their dreams to become a top Beauty Queen. It's hard work. It takes sacrifice, dedication and faith. I had my ups and downs in the process but in the end I am super happy with how I rose above the chaos and madness and was able to shine as ME. I may not have been a finalist but I left my mark MY way.....I left my mark on the hearts of everyone there and that means more to me than anything! I was spirited, funny and just ME. The final results were as they should be. These women were poised, graceful, smart and beautiful. What I gained by just being around these great women for a week will forever change my life but my soul and heart will forever stay with one person....my husband Bruce. I am the luckiest women in the world just to have in him my life...he is my rock, my best friend, my soul mate. He is truly my Mr. North Dakota.
