May 5th, 2009 - Medcenter One Helps to Recruit New Volunteers for ACS

The American Cancer Society's heart and soul is its volunteers. Our mission and success would not be possible without the dedication and drive of all our wonderful volunteers. To volunteer for something means just that - you are volunteering your time and self for a cause you are passionate about. We are so proud of all of our volunteers but the struggle to find and keep them is a continual battle. Collaborating with other organizations in the search for volunteers is a fantastic way to recruit and maintain our volunteer base. On May 5th, 2009 I met with the Volunteer Director at Medcenter One in Bismarck, North Dakota. Two wonderful volunteers were found by the Director and she had a hunch they would be a perfect fit for the ACS....she was right!
